Paramedic – St. Charles Parish EMS

About the role

This full‑time position provides high‑quality, advanced life support in a pre‑hospital setting for the St. Charles Parish EMS. The paramedic will deliver care consistent with treatment protocols, augment emergency department staff, and assess and treat patients of all ages in diverse, uncontrolled environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care, including airway control, bleeding management, and circulation restoration.
• Document patient care accurately for billing and compliance purposes.
• Maintain and safeguard advanced life support equipment and supervise other emergency personnel on scene.
• Deliver customer service to patients, families, and staff while adapting communication to each patient’s needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an approved EMT/Paramedic program.
• Preferred two years of 911 experience as a registered paramedic.
• State EMT/Paramedic license, NREMT registration, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Valid Class D driver’s license, completion of defensive driving and Haz‑Mat awareness training.
