About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and modify mechanical tooling and processes that support the lifecycle of advanced semiconductor equipment. The role involves solving complex mechanical problems, overseeing manufacturing and installation, and coordinating procurement of critical components.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement concepts for complex product issues and engineering solutions.
• Lead engineering projects and research new technologies.
• Identify and troubleshoot significantly complex engineering problems.
• Generate product specifications and conduct engineering tests.
• Specify, review, and document engineering layouts, schematics, drawings, and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 10‑15 years of relevant experience with deep technical expertise.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction.

Required skills

• Mechanical design and tooling development.
• Engineering analysis of complex systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
