Maintenance Technician – Aventura RTP

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property—including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑generated work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training and report incidents promptly.
• Inspect contractor work and conduct routine property inspections to identify safety or repair concerns.

Required profile

• EPA Type 1 and Type 2 (or Universal) certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf‑cart on the property.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and on‑call rotations.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 50 lb with assistance, in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 certification for refrigerant recycling.
• EPA Type 2 certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• Valid driver’s license for golf‑cart operation.
