Assistant Community Manager – Aventura RTP

About the role

Greystar is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager of the Aventura RTP property in Durham, NC. This entry‑level position assists with the financial and operational functions of a stabilized garden‑style community of 330 units.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Process invoices and payables, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
• Operate Greystar’s property management software (Yardi/OneSite), ensuring accurate data entry, updates, and system backups.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to verify work performed, reconcile invoices, and manage communications between accounting and ownership.
• Follow established eviction procedures, issue proper notices, and represent the community in court hearings when required.

Required profile

• Experience with basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks in a property management setting.
• Ability to handle rent collection, invoice processing, and bank reconciliations accurately.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures, including eviction processes.
