Licensed Pharmacist (Contract)

About the role

The University Health Center seeks a licensed pharmacist to dispense medications to students, faculty, staff and affiliates. The role includes full prescription workflow, inventory management and independent vaccination administration.

Key responsibilities

• Type, fill, check and dispense prescriptions and OTC items.
• Maintain accurate medication documentation and inventory.
• Administer vaccinations independently and conduct vaccination events.
• Resolve drug interactions, contraindications and third‑party payer issues.
• Direct technicians and student employees, and handle cash, credit and check reconciliations.

Required profile

• Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Three years retail pharmacy experience.
• Maryland Board of Pharmacy license, Maryland vaccination certification and CPR certification.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑5 pm on campus for a 3‑6 month term.

Required skills

• Knowledge of local, state and federal pharmacy laws and standards.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/FERPA confidentiality regulations.
• Proficiency with pharmacy prescription‑management software and point‑of‑sale systems.
• Ability to research medical literature for evidence‑based drug information.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $60.
