Lead Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

About the role

The SPEAK Center for Language and Learning is seeking a dedicated Lead Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in children with developmental disabilities, while supervising a small team of assistants and interns.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Supervise and mentor two SLP assistants and one intern each semester.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and educators.
• Educate families on communication strategies and document progress according to regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid Arizona State licensure as an SLP.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card and CPR/First Aid/Article 9 training.
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, especially ASD.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
