Lead HR Business Partner

About the role

Rillet is seeking its first Lead HR Business Partner to act as a strategic people partner across all functions as the company scales beyond 200 employees following its Series C round. You will help shape org design, performance management, and team health while driving people decisions with speed and judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with functional leaders on org design, headcount planning, leveling, and team structure.
• Coach managers on feedback, performance, team dynamics, and difficult conversations.
• Own end‑to‑end employee relations, including investigations, performance improvement plans, and separations.
• Run performance and compensation cycles from calibration through communication in partnership with People Ops.
• Turn people data into actionable decisions and build scalable playbooks.
• Leverage AI to automate repeatable People processes, focusing your time on judgment, coaching, and strategy.

Required profile

• 7+ years as an HR Business Partner or People Partner in high‑growth environments, scaling teams from 150 to 500 employees.
• Deep employee‑relations experience and fluency with multi‑state US employment law; international experience is a plus.
• Proven track record of independently running performance and compensation cycles.
• Trusted by leaders, able to communicate directly and say “no” when needed.
• Data‑fluent and experienced using AI tools to automate HR work.
