Junior Buyer

About the role

The Junior Buyer supports the procurement function of rms Company, a contract manufacturer of high‑quality medical implants. Working on the first shift, you will help secure raw materials, components and services needed to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Create purchase orders for raw materials, supplies, outside services and equipment.
• Contact suppliers, obtain quotations, place orders and monitor delivery timelines.
• Track critical inventory levels and expedite delivery of essential items.
• Enter requisitions, purchase orders and changes into the ERP system in a timely manner.
• Communicate material shortages to production planners and advise managers of potential supplier delays.
• Maintain accurate production and dispatch schedules and update bottleneck reports.
• Support material handlers, assist with inventory activities and follow ISO/medical device quality requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, quality and finance teams to align purchasing with business needs.
• Participate in 5S, Operational Excellence initiatives and required company meetings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with manufacturing and ERP systems.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• ERP system proficiency.
