Supervisor, Global Operations

About the role

Maersk Logistics & Services USA is seeking a Global Operations Supervisor to lead cross‑border logistics processes. You will coordinate import/export shipments, manage customs interactions, and ensure timely dispatch across air and ocean modes while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with customs brokers, importers and customers for import shipments.
• Book air and ocean shipments, process dangerous‑goods (DG) shipments and complete required filings such as AES.
• Track, trace and update shipment milestones, communicating issues to internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and close billing, ensuring timely invoicing and accurate accounting reports.
• Develop and recommend new policies, train new employees, and handle personnel actions including reviews and disciplinary measures.
• Maintain operational and emergency policies, providing 24/7 phone accessibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Economics, Aviation, Mathematics or equivalent experience (3+ years).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dangerous Goods certification and knowledge of TSA, customs brokerage, POA, DO, ISF regulations.
• 3+ years of dispatching, import/export, and leadership experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to calculate chargeable weight and volume for shipments.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
