IS Network & Technology Specialist

About the role

ABB Drive Products Division is hiring an IS Network & Technology Specialist in New Berlin, WI, reporting to the IS Manager. The role links business users, OT (Operations Technology), IS and IT service delivery teams and supports, evolves and promotes the local IS/IT systems and processes. It is an onsite position supporting the Motion Drives Products Division and its facility.

Key responsibilities

• Support the wide area and local area networks, on-premise hosting environment, VoIP telephony services and overall IT infrastructure for the US Motion Drives site (currently New Berlin, WI, Virginia and New Jersey).
• Design, install, maintain and ensure delivery of IT-related hardware and software, as well as presentation and conference room services.
• Manage wired and wireless networking, servers, UPS, desktops, laptops, industrial computers, MFPs, label printers, RF scanners, mobile devices, video conferencing, PA systems, security systems and digital signage for factories and offices.
• Build strong relationships with business users, the IS team, IT vendors, infrastructure delivery teams, Information Security, Physical Security and Facilities to support OT, IS and IT investments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in an IS/IT support role, preferably in a multinational corporation with multiple niche service providers.
• BS in computer science, network infrastructure, IT management or a related degree preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with departments and multicultural global teams, with excellent oral and written communication and a strong customer focus.
• High troubleshooting capability for devices, software, systems and processes.
• US work authorization required.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of wired and wireless networks, printer architectures, application landscapes and WAN/LAN topologies.
• Hands-on experience with servers, VMware ESXi, Windows, SQL databases and file storage systems.
• Working knowledge of Cisco Unity and Unified VoIP preferred.
• Experience with EUC and mobile device configuration and repair; Lenovo PCs and iPhones/iOS preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of ITIL and ITSM, with ServiceNow experience preferred.
