Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Joyce Theater Foundation seeks a Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and compliance for a diverse workforce of over 100 staff members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle from job posting to onboarding.
• Handle employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary actions while fostering a positive work environment.
• Oversee compensation and benefits programs, conduct salary surveys, and maintain equitable pay structures.
• Identify training needs, develop programs, and facilitate employee development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with EEOC, FLSA, FMLA and other employment laws.
• Maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and performance management systems.
• Manage HRIS, employee engagement initiatives, workplace safety, and labor‑relations matters.
• Develop and manage the HR department budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in recruitment, training, compensation and benefits.
• Proven ability to manage employee relations and foster a positive work environment.
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices and employment law.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS systems.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
