VP of Supply-Fleet Recruitment

About the role

Quartermaster is building a real‑time picture of activity on the world’s oceans by turning commercial ships into a living network. The VP of Supply‑Fleet Recruitment will own the end‑to‑end mission of enlisting vessels, negotiating agreements, and maintaining long‑term relationships to expand the network.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and sign high‑value vessels as fleet partners across all ship types and regions.
• Build and lead a world‑class recruiting organization, scaling from a scattered team to a repeatable, data‑driven acquisition machine.
• Design and implement resilient processes for vessel qualification, agreement negotiation, and long‑term relationship management.
• Synchronize recruiting efforts with growth targets and global maritime requirements to ensure continuous pipeline capacity.
• Hire, onboard, and manage distributed acquisition teams, establishing clear metrics and targets.

Required profile

• Proven track record scaling the supply side of a marketplace or field‑based acquisition operation from 0 to 1.
• Experience building and leading global, distributed recruiting or acquisition teams.
• Data‑driven mindset with strong focus on funnel conversion, cost of acquisition, and unit economics.
• Ability to turn ambiguous, relationship‑driven deals into repeatable, measurable processes.
• Maritime or shipping experience is a plus but not required.
