Home-Based AP/AR Specialist & Customer Service Representative

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Home-Based AP/AR Specialist who will also serve as a Customer Service Representative for a growing U.S. office‑furniture company. The role blends high‑volume invoice processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and direct email support for customers regarding orders, billing, and account status.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor and customer invoices, billing statements, credits, and adjustments accurately.
• Record, reconcile, and monitor customer payments; follow up on outstanding balances.
• Coordinate timely vendor payments via check, ACH, or electronic transfer and resolve discrepancies.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, ensuring proper approvals.
• Respond to customer inquiries about invoices, payments, orders, shipping, and account balances via email.
• Track order status, shipments, backorders, and delivery dates, collaborating with sales, operations, and purchasing teams.
• Prepare AP/AR aging reports, cash‑flow projections, and other accounting documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable, bookkeeping, or a similar customer‑service role.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective written communication skills for professional email interaction.
• Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
