Head of Engineering – Lead Scalable Product Development

About the role

SnapMagic is seeking a Head of Engineering to own the technical vision and execution of its flagship SnapMagic Copilot platform. This is a hands‑on leadership position that will transition from building core systems personally to scaling a high‑performance engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship production‑grade software for LLM workflows, recommendation engines, and high‑traffic platform components.
• Define and iterate on product roadmaps, metrics, and execution loops in close partnership with the CEO.
• Scale the platform and advertising systems under real‑world load while maintaining reliability.
• Establish engineering standards for speed, quality, and pragmatic trade‑offs.
• Transition from personal code contribution to hiring, mentoring, and leading a fast‑growing team.

Required profile

• Proven track record building and shipping complex, scalable systems at a fast‑growing, VC‑backed company.
• Comfortable working in detail, testing ideas in production, and iterating based on real user feedback.
• Strong bias toward action, able to prioritize under ambiguity, and hold themselves to high standards.
• Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate shipped outcomes, learnings, and next steps.
