About the role
Northwest is seeking a full‑time Teller to join its Amherst branch. The role involves direct interaction with customers, handling transactions, and supporting the bank’s financial wellness initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers, process transactions accurately, and balance the teller drawer daily.
- Identify referral opportunities and contribute to the office’s sales performance goals.
- Assist customers with inquiries, resolve issues, and refer complex requests to appropriate team members.
- Participate in branch opening/closing tasks, meetings, and dual‑control balancing of vault, ATM, and other devices.
Required profile
- Ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Strong decision‑making skills, good judgment in ambiguous situations, and the ability to listen actively.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of the teller system and related computer applications.
- Cash‑handling experience.
