About the role

This full-time night position provides registered nurses with the opportunity to lead patient care on a Med‑Surg/Telemetry unit at St. Bernard Parish Hospital. The role emphasizes compassionate, inclusive care while supporting the hospital’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care and assess learning needs.
  • Delegate, direct, and collaborate with licensed and ancillary team members, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
  • Apply data and evidence‑based practice to promote optimal outcomes and adapt communication to diverse patient populations.

Required profile

  • Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Registered nurse diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
  • No prior work experience required; strong judgment and organizational skills.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
