About the role

Join Ochsner’s Critical Care team in the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at St. Bernard, providing exceptional patient care in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
Use data and evidence‑based knowledge to drive improvements and achieve optimal outcomes.
Promote patient satisfaction and support professional nursing development.

Required profile

Registered Nurse diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred).
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
No prior experience required; new graduates are welcome.

Required skills

Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data entry systems.
Effective verbal and written communication for diverse audiences.
Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
