Freelance Content Creator – Social Media (TikTok, Reels)

About the role

WITHIN is looking for a creative and highly motivated Content Creator to join its Creative Production team in New York City. You will live and breathe social media, especially TikTok and Instagram Reels, turning trends into authentic, thumb‑stopping short‑form content.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor TikTok, Instagram Reels and other platforms to spot emerging trends, sounds and formats.
• Conceptualize, script, shoot (often with a smartphone) and edit short‑form video and static assets.
• Develop and execute strategies that encourage user‑generated content and mimic an authentic UGC style.
• Collaborate with the Social Media Manager, Content Lead and broader marketing/creative teams to align content with campaign goals.
• Perform basic edits, add text overlays, incorporate trending audio and use simple motion‑graphics or in‑app effects.
• Organize and archive raw footage, edited videos and graphics for easy access.
• Stay up‑to‑date with platform best practices, feature updates and algorithm changes.
• Provide insights based on content performance and audience resonance.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating engaging TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts content.
• Ability to shoot and edit compelling short‑form videos, often using a smartphone.
• Comfortable with mobile editing apps and basic desktop software.
• Strong understanding of effective user‑generated content and authentic storytelling.
• Creative, agile and able to generate ideas quickly in a fast‑moving environment.
