Finance Undergraduate Internship

About the role

Lilly’s Finance Internship Program is a 10‑week, hands‑on experience that introduces undergraduate students to finance functions that drive business decisions across a global healthcare company. Interns work on real‑world projects, collaborate with finance teams, and gain exposure to corporate financial planning, treasury, tax, audit, and finance support for R&D, manufacturing, sales and marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to business‑critical projects in areas such as corporate audit services, tax, financial reporting, treasury, or finance support for research, manufacturing, sales & marketing, and procurement.
• Participate in a case study to assess and recommend an optimal clinical development and commercial strategy, delivering a presentation to senior finance leaders.
• Collaborate with peer mentors to learn a day‑in‑the‑life of a full‑time financial analyst.

Required profile

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business (accounting, finance, economics, data analytics) or a quantitative field (computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, statistics) with relevant coursework.
• Expected graduation date of August 2028 and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated curiosity, leadership, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel and Power BI.
• Experience with Python or SQL for data analysis and automation.
• Familiarity with AI or visualization tools (e.g., Co‑Pilot, Claude, agents).
