Finance Technology Summer Internship

About the role

Lilly’s Finance Technology team is modernizing finance operations through data, automation, and AI. This 12‑week summer internship offers hands‑on experience on real projects that blend finance expertise with cutting‑edge technology.

Key responsibilities

• Work on a cross‑functional project covering data strategy, SAP solutions, emerging AI technologies, and portfolio management.
• Participate in a week‑long case‑study competition with finance, procurement, and SAP interns.
• Present project findings to SAP Business Process and IT professionals at the end of the internship.
• Gain exposure to senior leadership and learn about career paths within Lilly.

Required profile

• Actively pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in finance, accounting, data analytics, computer science, data science, IT, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Expected graduation by August 2028 and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated leadership, strong learning agility, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Interest in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

Required skills

• Experience with AI tools (generative AI platforms, automation tools, or AI‑assisted research/analytics).
• Familiarity with SAP solutions and data‑driven analysis.
