Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

The Employee Relations Specialist will lead HR initiatives to foster positive employee relations, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and drive continuous improvement of morale across the manufacturing plant.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and implement HR policies, lead employee‑relations programs and training, and ensure EEO compliance.
• Maintain government contacts, stay current on labor regulations, and represent the company in professional organizations.
• Analyze absenteeism, safety, and productivity data to assess climate and recommend improvements.
• Develop and coordinate morale‑building programs, manage investigations and audits, and support health, safety, and environmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred in HRM, organizational psychology or labor relations); advanced degree a plus.
• Several years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in employee relations; managerial experience preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English proficiency.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR strategic planning, resource allocation, and personnel management.
• Understanding of labor‑relations law, government regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Critical thinking, active listening, and performance monitoring abilities.
