Electrical & Instrumentation Technician – Industrial Automation

About the role

Futamura USA is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join the Electrical Maintenance Department. You will install, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, calibrate, and program industrial electrical, instrumentation, process control, and automation systems supporting our manufacturing of biodegradable packaging films.

Key responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain and modify 480V electrical systems, motors, motor starters, and related equipment.
• Repair electrical control circuits, instrumentation, process controls and automation systems, including PLCs, I/O, control panels and sensors.
• Maintain variable frequency drives, variable speed drives, and motor control systems.
• Calibrate and maintain pneumatic (3–15 psi) and electronic (4–20 mA) process instrumentation.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs and equipment manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, testing and documentation of all systems.

Required profile

• Experience as a Controls, Instrumentation, Electrical or Industrial Maintenance Technician.
• Proven ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts (days and nights) with a $2.50 shift differential.
• Strong commitment to electrical, machine and OSHA safety standards.
• Good attendance, dependability and a positive attitude.

Required skills

• 480V industrial electrical systems, motors and motor controls.
• PLC installation, wiring, troubleshooting, I/O configuration and programming.
• Variable frequency drives (VFDs) and variable speed drives.
• Process instrumentation calibration – pneumatic (3–15 psi) and 4–20 mA signals.
• Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and P&IDs.
