Director of Team Resource/HR

About the role

The Director of Team Resource/HR will lead all human‑resources functions for Church of the Highlands, shaping the organization’s human capital strategy and ensuring a compliant, high‑performing workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with ministry objectives and overall organizational goals.
• Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, benefits administration, payroll processing, and compliance with employment and labor laws.
• Manage a team of five HR professionals handling onboarding, departures, transfers, sourcing, training, development, benefits, and payroll.
• Lead organizational design projects, change‑management initiatives, and continuous process‑improvement efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field; HR certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HR management, including talent management, succession planning, and supervising large‑scale HR programs.
• Extensive knowledge of employment and labor law (FMLA, OSHA) and workers’ compensation regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and data‑analysis tools for strategic insights.
• Strong negotiation skills for contract and vendor management related to benefits and HRIS providers.
