About the role
Applied Materials seeks a Design Engineer to contribute deep expertise in chip design and silicon validation, supporting the development of advanced semiconductor equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expertise in at least one design area while maintaining broad knowledge of overall chip design and silicon validation.
- Address issues proactively across design phases and implement troubleshooting concepts for complex IC design problems without supervision.
Required profile
- Demonstrated depth in a specialized discipline with ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
- Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate complexity and ability to follow complex schedules, budgets, and milestones.
Required skills
- Deep knowledge of chip design and silicon validation processes.
- Experience with multiple tape‑outs and IC design troubleshooting.

- Salary range $179,500 – $246,500 per year.
