Data Migration Consultant

About the role

The Migration Consultant is a leading member of Veeva Systems' Professional Services group, delivering migration solutions for Veeva Vault R&D applications and Vault Platform cloud solutions to life‑sciences customers. This is a remote, full‑time permanent position supporting customers across the United States and Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Provide subject‑matter expertise on Vault R&D migration implementation, including document content and object data migration from legacy systems.
• Advise customers on the extract, transform, and load (ETL) process.
• Mentor Veeva Data Migration Specialists on migration activities and best practices.
• Contribute to the Professional Services knowledge base to build a migration program.
• Guide migration tool development for the ETL process.
• Assist in project scoping estimates for the Vault R&D product suite.

Required profile

• 3+ years of document/content migration experience with enterprise content management systems (e.g., Documentum, OpenText, Box, SharePoint).
• 3+ years of database migration, implementation, or integration experience with enterprise software (e.g., SAP, Salesforce.com, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Trackwise, Argus, ArisGlobal).
• 3+ years of customer‑facing technical consulting experience.
• Proven track record meeting with management and executives as a subject‑matter expert.
• Fluency in SQL and databases.
• Experience leading and mentoring team members.
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Must be located in and legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
