About the role

Cardiology Associates of Altoona is seeking a Data Entry Associate to support its administrative team. The role focuses on accurate entry and management of patient data to ensure efficient office operations and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately input patient information, medical history, and insurance details into the EMR system.
• Maintain and update patient records, ensuring completeness and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with billing code entry and verification of insurance information.
• Scan, index, and file medical records and correspondence.
• Review data for errors, correct discrepancies, and prepare routine reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in office administration or healthcare management is a plus.
• Prior data entry or administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
