Clinical Program Director

About the role

The Clinical Program Director provides both clinical and operational leadership for Compass Behavioral Health Services, overseeing day‑to‑day program operations and ensuring integration of behavioral health services within Compass Family Services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and direct supervision for Clinical Supervisors and Therapist IIs, ensuring compliance and serving as backup supervisor.
• Champion strategic growth initiatives, including designing and launching Medi‑Cal billing pathways.
• Oversee program operations, staff development, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and lead team meetings.
• Represent CBHS to external partners and funders, manage grant compliance, reporting, and assist with grant proposals.
• Partner with Finance, IT, and evaluation teams to steward the budget, optimize Salesforce data workflows, and drive quality standards.

Required profile

• Active LCSW or LMFT license in California, in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical supervision and 3 years of program management experience.
• Experience supervising teams and working with low‑income or unhoused families.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Salesforce data workflows.
• Knowledge of Medi‑Cal billing procedures (preferred).
