Chauffeur / Driver

About the role

Experience Senior Living is looking for a Chauffeur/Driver to support its community in Naples. The driver takes residents to activities and other destinations, assists them safely in and out of the vehicle, and helps connect residents as they move from home to community.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a 12-passenger van from the community to activities and other destinations according to the assigned schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of the vehicle safely, and secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices during trips.
• Practice safe driving at all times and deliver groceries and other belongings to residents' apartments.
• Clean and service the vehicle, report and coordinate maintenance repairs, and run daily and weekly trip inspections and preventative maintenance records.
• Help the Resident Experience Department with activities and programs, submit travel expense charges daily, and handle emergencies and basic first aid.
• Report potentially unsafe conditions to the Executive Director and keep a safe driving record.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training.
• 2 to 5 years of driving experience, preferably with a 12-passenger van, and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance.
• Commercial driver's license required; able to drive a 7 to 16 passenger bus, a limousine or car, and equipment such as a wheelchair lift, dollies and hand trucks.
• Knowledge of all streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
• Able to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Must comply with Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards and pass background screening.
