Certified Nursing Assistant – Med Surg – Night Shift – Full Time

About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic patient care on the Med Surg unit during the night shift, working under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. The role focuses on patient safety, observation, and support for the nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Observe patients continuously, report changes in behavior or status to nursing staff, and intervene to maintain safety.
• Perform all functions delegated by the nurse, including documentation, maintaining a clean environment, and delivering basic care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.

Required profile

• Current state CNA certification; BLS and CPI certifications to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred hospital and telemetry experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call availability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certifications.
