Cashier – Hall Campus

About the role

This entry‑level, full‑time cashier position supports the Student Account Office at Lanier Technical College’s Hall County campus. The role involves handling payments, assisting students, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Accept cash, check, and credit‑card payments at the cashier window and record them in the Banner software system.
• Assist students with account balance inquiries and resolve payment‑related issues via phone, email, or in person.
• Balance daily deposits and generate related reports using Banner.
• Perform various support tasks for the Cashier Department and create student‑related reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED plus at least six months of related work experience.
• Previous cash‑handling experience with strong basic math skills.
• Attention to detail, effective communication, and a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Banner software for student financial transactions.
• Basic computer operation and data‑entry skills.
