Afterschool Coach for Extracurricular Programs

About the role

The Afterschool Coach will plan, lead and develop extracurricular activities that support students' overall development, including skills, creativity, physical fitness and teamwork. The role also involves preparing and accompanying students to performances, competitions and other school events, representing the school’s values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead training sessions, rehearsals and practical classes tailored to students' age, level and abilities.
• Develop technical, artistic and cognitive skills while fostering discipline, responsibility and healthy competition.
• Supervise students during activities, competitions and performances and ensure appropriate conduct.
• Prepare students and teams for tournaments, performances and assessments, and accompany them when required.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, manage equipment and facilities, and comply with safety protocols.
• Coordinate with program coordinators and communicate professionally with staff.

Required profile

• Academic background, certification or demonstrated experience in the relevant discipline (e.g., theater).
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a coaching, teaching or facilitation role.
• Ability to manage groups of varying ages and skill levels.
• Experience in a school environment is preferred.
• Availability to participate in events outside regular school hours.
• Proficiency in English is an asset in an international school setting.
