Audiology and Speech Pathology Specialist (Level 3)

About the role

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities seeks an Audiologist/Speech Pathologist (Level 3) to join the team at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta. Under broad supervision, you will assess and treat patients with hearing, speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Administer hearing and speech‑language evaluations using specialized instruments and electronic equipment.
• Fit and dispense hearing aids, provide auditory training, and teach alternative communication methods.
• Assess swallowing function, evaluate dysphagia and aspiration risks, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records, monitor progress, and adjust therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Master's degree in speech‑language pathology or audiology (or both) from an accredited institution.
• Current Georgia licensure/certification to practice in the relevant field.
• Minimum two years of experience at the Aud/Speech Pathologist 2 level or equivalent.
