About the role
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is hiring a Health Aide/Safety Monitor for the Admissions Unit at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta in Decatur, GA. This role ensures a safe environment by screening patients for contraband and monitoring interactions.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect all patients entering the admissions unit to ensure they are free of contraband.
- Monitor patient activity and prevent negative interactions between patients.
- Report findings to the Medical Director and Charge Nurse.
Required profile
- One year experience in mental health, medical, or related field.
- One year of direct care or basic nursing procedures experience.
- Experience working with forensic patients or correctional offenders.
- High School diploma/GED and six months related experience; one year experience at Health Aide 1 level or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
Required skills
- Proficient computer skills.
