Assistant Store Manager – Upper West Side

About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager at Rothy’s Upper West Side location, you will partner closely with the Store Manager to drive a culture of service, sales, and operational excellence. You will lead by example on the sales floor, inspire your team, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training a strong store team.
• Maintain high performance standards by training the team on SOPs, service expectations, selling skills, and product knowledge.
• Support daily store operations, visual merchandising, and the Division of Responsibility program.
• Lead the Rothy’s Experience on the sales floor, coach staff, and uphold brand standards.
• Drive sales and KPIs through goal‑setting, coaching, and celebrating wins.
• Assist in planning and executing in‑store events and activations.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of retail experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through personal performance and team leadership.
• Strong coaching and talent development skills.
• Familiarity with operational processes, merchandising, and shipment handling.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and use ladders or step stools.
• Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours/week, including peak days and evenings.
