AI Solutions Engineer

About the role

Ramp is launching a new AI business and needs a technical seller to turn complex AI products into revenue. You will own the full sales cycle, from discovery to close, and guide customers through implementation and adoption of AI‑powered finance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Carry a revenue quota and manage AI product opportunities from discovery through purchase.
• Lead discovery with business and technical buyers, translate technical capabilities into business value, and build ROI/TCO analyses.
• Deliver tailored demos, workshops, and proofs of concept, and navigate technical and commercial objections.
• Partner with Account Executives, Product, Engineering, Security, Marketing and post‑sales teams to remove deployment blockers.
• Gather structured customer feedback to improve product positioning and sales execution.

Required profile

• 5+ years in solutions engineering, technical sales or a related customer‑facing role with direct quota‑carrying responsibility.
• Proven track record of independently influencing and closing complex B2B sales.
• Strong commercial judgment, ability to build executive‑level business cases and drive deal momentum.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑moving, early‑stage environment and building structure from scratch.

Required skills

• Technical fluency with modern AI systems, including AI applications, agents, model capabilities and limitations.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, data flows, security, governance and model routing.
• Ability to articulate ROI, total cost of ownership and operational impact to executive audiences.
