About the role

Bosch’s AI research team in Pittsburgh is seeking an AI Research Scientist dedicated to Generative AI (GenAI) and multimodal foundation models. You will help create scalable, trustworthy, and efficient AI solutions that power Bosch products and services in advanced manufacturing, smart‑home, building technology, and advanced driver‑assistance systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cutting‑edge research on multimodal foundation models, agentic AI, robustness, and efficient GenAI.
• Collaborate with an international team of experts to transfer in‑house and third‑party AI innovations into Bosch products and services.
• Stay current with the latest AI advancements by attending conferences, workshops, and technical seminars.
• Provide expert insights to senior management for strategic R&D planning and investment decisions.
• Document and disseminate research outcomes through high‑impact publications and patent filings.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent research experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong publication record in top AI conferences or journals (e.g., ICML, ICLR, CVPR, NeurIPS).
• Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary, cross‑functional teams.
