Senior Full Stack Engineer – Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer – Team Lead to join our fully remote engineering team. You will lead a small group of engineers while staying hands‑on building user‑facing applications, core platform capabilities, and high‑impact features across frontend and backend.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team across multiple initiatives, driving sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives and delivery accountability.
• Own delivery tracking in Jira and documentation in Confluence, keeping stakeholders aligned on status, risks and priorities.
• Design and build robust GraphQL and REST APIs, scalable backend services, and end‑to‑end features for product and data domains.
• Contribute production‑level code in React/TypeScript (frontend) and Node.js/SQL (backend), and develop data ingestion workflows (ETL‑style).
• Promote engineering excellence through code quality, testing, performance optimization and architecture documentation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building production‑grade applications.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects, mentor engineers and drive delivery in an Agile environment.
• Strong communication skills to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Experience in fast‑paced startup or scaling environments; healthcare or regulated data experience a plus.

Required skills

• React, TypeScript, modern front‑end development practices.
• Node.js, TypeScript, SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) for backend development.
• GraphQL and REST API design and implementation.
• Monorepo tools (Nx, Turborepo, Yarn Workspaces).
• Data modeling, database design, ETL/data pipeline development (Node.js, Python, SQL).
• Automated testing, CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), containerization.
• Jira, Confluence, Agile delivery practices.
