About the role

Vitalize is building a labor and capacity operating system that transforms how hospitals staff their facilities. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer you will own the decision engine that generates staffing recommendations, alerts, and workflow automation, turning complex operational data into trusted software actions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the decision logic behind staffing recommendations, alerts, and workflows.
• Own systems that balance staffing rules, hospital policies, patient needs, and operational constraints.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to deliver complex, user‑friendly solutions.
• Work directly with clinical leaders to understand real‑world staffing decisions and translate them into software requirements.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of the decision engine in a mission‑critical environment.

Required profile

• Several years of professional software development experience, preferably in full‑stack roles.
• Proven ability to design and ship complex backend services.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort working with cross‑functional teams.
• Passion for improving healthcare operations and outcomes.
