Registered Nurse – Adult Psychiatric Unit

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care on the Adult Psychiatric unit at its Schuylkill location. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in line with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Participate in performance‑improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
• Teach, mentor and precept new colleagues and interns, delegating tasks based on skill and patient acuity.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Successful completion of orientation programs and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies.
• Ability to organize, prioritize assignments and work safely in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer skills.
