OB/GYN Hospitalist – Per Diem Position

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a Per Diem OB/GYN Hospitalist to join the laborist team at Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Cedar Crest, the largest maternity hospital in the network. The role involves collaborating with midwives, OB/GYN physicians, and maternal‑fetal medicine specialists to provide high‑quality obstetric care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery coverage, working alongside midwives and physicians.
• Serve as primary teaching faculty for OB/GYN residents and medical students.
• Collaborate with maternal‑fetal medicine specialists on high‑risk patient management.
• Participate in education, clinical research, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified OB/GYN.
• Current PA medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Ideally 3–5 years of clinical obstetrics experience.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in obstetrics and labor management.
• Ability to teach and mentor residents and medical students.
