Member of Technical Staff – Platform Engineer

About the role

Hyperbolic Labs is building an Open‑Access AI Cloud that turns idle GPU capacity worldwide into a unified marketplace. As a Member of Technical Staff – Platform, you will design and own the control plane that powers this GPU marketplace, turning raw compute from many vendors into a single, programmable product for developers.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement the tenant‑management system and resource‑lifecycle APIs.
• Design identity, access, and policy frameworks, including SSO, RBAC, and fine‑grained permissions.
• Build billing, quota, and multi‑cloud abstraction layers that feel native across providers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the control plane is robust, scalable, and developer‑friendly.
• Define “golden paths” that simplify complex distributed‑system interactions for end users.

Required profile

• Proven experience in platform engineering for cloud or infrastructure services.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to design scalable distributed control planes.
• Track record of delivering production‑grade services with high reliability.

Required skills

• Go (Golang) programming.
• RESTful API design and versioning.
• Multi‑cloud abstraction and integration.
• Multi‑tenancy architecture, tenant isolation, and quota management.
• Identity and access management (SSO, RBAC, fine‑grained permissions).
• Distributed systems engineering and compliance/policy enforcement.
