Leasing Professional – Avana Matthews

About the role

The Leasing Professional will manage marketing, leasing, and renewal activities for the Avana Matthews garden‑style community in Matthews, NC. The role focuses on achieving occupancy, revenue, and resident‑retention goals through direct interaction with prospects and residents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate any maintenance needed, and ensure units are ready for residents.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral programs and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Use property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and maintain resident data.
• Maintain show units and common areas to Greystar standards, coordinating with maintenance as required.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to secure leases and renewals.
• Prepare renewal letters, meet with renewing residents, and ensure timely execution of renewal documents.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner inquiries, addressing concerns or escalating as needed.

Required profile

• Valid state licenses/certifications as required for leasing and a driver’s license for operating a golf cart.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software such as OneSite and Yardi.
• Experience using internet marketing tools including Craigslist, Facebook, and email campaigns.
