IT Risk Senior Associate – Risk Advisory

About the role

Riveron is seeking a Senior Associate to join its IT Risk Advisory team in Atlanta. The role involves assessing IT General Controls, developing remediation roadmaps, and performing IT risk assessments for clients across various industries.

Key responsibilities

• Assess design and operating effectiveness of IT General Controls (ITGC) and related controls.
• Develop and execute remediation plans for identified control gaps.
• Perform IT risk assessments, including SOX compliance and cybersecurity engagements.
• Analyze data to evaluate internal control adequacy and efficiency.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to client leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS or related field.
• 3+ years experience as an IT auditor or IT risk advisor in a public accounting firm.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, CIPP, CPA, CIA).
• Ability to travel as required for client engagements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IT General Controls, SOX, NIST, ISO frameworks.
• Familiarity with COSO, COBIT, and related auditing standards.
• Experience with internal controls testing, risk/control matrices, and process flow documentation.
