Engineering Lead, Applications

About the role

Reflection's Applications team builds the product surfaces that turn raw platform capabilities into usable workflows, including internal dashboards, admin tools, and customer‑facing experiences. As Applications Lead, you will provide front‑line leadership, mentor a full‑stack engineering team, and stay hands‑on with the stack from UI to API to authentication.

Key responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and grow a high‑performing team of full‑stack engineers.
• Provide front‑line leadership for internal and customer‑facing product surfaces, dashboards, admin tools, and self‑serve workflows.
• Stay hands‑on by contributing to the technical stack as an individual contributor.
• Prioritize work, manage projects, and guide technical and architectural decisions emphasizing scalability, robustness, and user experience.
• Collaborate with research, platform, and product teams to translate needs into clear system designs and reliable integrations.

Required profile

• Experience building, mentoring, and growing engineering teams while remaining technically hands‑on.
• Deep full‑stack engineering experience with ownership of production‑grade applications.
• Strong coding ability and credibility to earn technical trust of the team.
• Ability to guide strategy and drive execution in a fast‑moving, zero‑to‑one environment.
