Backend Software Engineer

Rogo is building AI-powered solutions for the world’s leading financial institutions. As a Backend Software Engineer you will help design and scale the core services that power our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Architect REST and gRPC APIs backed by stable, scalable server‑side implementations and asynchronous code.
• Design and build large‑scale infrastructure for crawling, ranking, and retrieval systems.
• Ship secure and compliant code, implementing security concepts for handling sensitive data.
• Write robust, readable, well‑tested code that is easy to maintain.
• Raise the bar for code quality, reliability and product velocity across the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills with a track record of shipping high‑quality products.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in a strongly typed language such as Rust, C++ or Java.
• Experience with REST and gRPC API design.
• Familiarity with protocol buffers and gRPC.
• Knowledge of Map Reduce or other massively distributed parallel computation frameworks.
• Understanding of security best practices for handling sensitive data.
