About the role

The Assistant Director, Custodial Management oversees custodial services operations, manages contracted services, and ensures the university’s facilities maintain a high standard of cleanliness and appearance.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage contracted service performance, schedule work, and ensure timely completion of projects and special events.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of university buildings, coordinate with service teams, and perform quality‑control checks.
  • Procure materials and services in coordination with the purchasing department while staying within budget.
  • Serve as emergency essential personnel when needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

  • Associate's degree with at least five years of custodial or facilities management experience.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to work under budgetary constraints.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and inventory management.
