Service Technician – Property Maintenance

About the role

The Service Technician ensures that the physical aspects of Greystar’s properties—including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas—meet standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds upkeep, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), climbing ladders and crawling in confined spaces.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays and respond to on‑call requests.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where required.

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
