Tax Subject Matter Expert – AI Workflow Specialist

About the role

Turing is seeking a Tax Subject Matter Expert to help shape AI understanding of tax preparation, compliance, and corporate tax workflows. You will work remotely with a focus on creating realistic tax scenarios and evaluating AI‑generated tax reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Create tax workflow prompts and synthetic tax return scenarios for AI training.
• Evaluate AI‑generated tax calculations and reasoning for accuracy.
• Identify edge cases such as deduction errors, apportionment issues, and ASC 740 miscalculations.
• Develop expert rubrics and reasoning traces to guide model improvements.

Required profile

• 4–12 years of experience in individual, business, or corporate tax.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. tax law and basic GAAP principles.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• CPA or EA certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with corporate tax provision or multi‑state tax exposure is a plus.
