Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

Max Academy USA is expanding its network of high‑quality preschools across Florida and Texas and seeks a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to serve as the CEO’s right hand on all financial matters. You will own the numbers, build the models, and shape the narrative that guides strategic and operational decisions for the entire organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a daily corporate financial runway with actuals, P&L metrics, and 120‑day forward projections.
• Present the runway file each Friday, reconciling historical data and updating income and expense forecasts.
• Adjust projected revenue from government and state programs in real time based on administration inputs.
• Monitor bank balances and ensure coverage of monthly credit‑card obligations before cut‑off dates.
• Review all credit‑card expenses within 10 days of each cut‑off, flagging variances from Board‑approved budgets.
• Prepare school‑level OPEX reports within the first five days of each month.
• Oversee QuickBooks bookkeeping accuracy and lead monthly financial statement reviews.
• Approve annual tax returns for each school entity prior to IRS filing.
• Keep SOPs and internal Loom video library up to date on a monthly basis.

Required profile

• Advanced Excel mastery, capable of building complex, multi‑tab financial models.
• Exceptional attention to detail and audit‑ready work standards.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial data and recommend actions.
• Experience managing finances for multi‑entity or multi‑location organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
