Subject Matter Expert – Finance (AI)

About the role

Turing is looking for experienced finance professionals to help shape AI understanding of finance workflows. This fully remote contractor role focuses on creating realistic accounting scenarios, evaluating AI outputs, and improving next‑generation AI systems that support finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Create finance workflow prompts and real‑world accounting scenarios using tools such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Concur.
• Review and evaluate AI‑generated responses for accuracy, reasoning, and compliance with US GAAP.
• Build synthetic invoices, bills, reconciliations, and general‑ledger datasets.
• Identify edge cases including duplicate bills, sync failures, policy violations, and GAAP errors.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to improve model performance across finance operations and controls.

Required profile

• 4–12 years of hands‑on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, month‑end close, or finance systems administration.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Bill.com, and/or Concur.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and finance controls.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.
• CPA or CMA preferred for controller‑level roles.
